RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — More than 6,000 customers in Raleigh and Durham areas were without power Saturday afternoon as storms rolled through central North Carolina amid a severe thunderstorm watch that was extended until 10 p.m.
Duke Energy reported that about 2,000 customers in the Raleigh area were without electricity, with the outages split between north Raleigh/Wake County and northeast Raleigh along Buffaloe Road.
