Holly Springs, NC, Sep. 27, 2026 — Wake County’s median home price fell to $440,000 in August, down $18,500 from July, as both lending activity and real estate transactions slowed slightly across the county.
The county recorded 2,998 new real estate loans during the month, compared with 3,132 in July. Most activity remained in the traditional housing market, with 88% of transactions involving properties valued at less than $1 million rather than large commercial deals.
