Shaw University alumni group files complaint with NC Attorney General about finances, potential land sales

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The Save Our Shaw Coalition, a group made up of alumni from Shaw University, has submitted a complaint to the North Carolina Attorney General’s Office, hoping for an administrative review of the university.

“My biggest concern is that one day Shaw may not exist,” said Jared Ollison, part of multiple generations of Shaw graduates, “I’m afraid that other children may not be able to get that opportunity in generations to come, and I think that’s troubling.”
