‘A lot of crying’: Durham Public Schools employees take Friday off amid continued concerns about future pay

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – Millions of dollars are going towards solving the Durham Public Schools pay debacle, but the problems may not be over. On Thursday night, the DPS school board approved the money so more than 1,000 employees don’t have to give back funds the district said they were overpaid. But many feel they are still in limbo because the district has said it would cut their future pay.
