Yelp ranks North Carolina bakeries as 3 of the best places for croissants

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — Jan. 30 is National Croissant Day, and to help people find the best flaky pastries Yelp recently released its list of the Top 100 places to get croissants in the U.S. and Canada.

The list includes two central North Carolina bakeries, including one just outside the Top 10.

Superior Bakery , a community staple in Fayetteville for over six decades, is No. 11 on the list.

The bakery, located at 2433 Hope Mills Rd., is known for a variety of baked goods, but Yelp reviewer s especially love their different kinds of croissants as well as donuts and cakes.

Winston-Salem bakery among North Carolina’s James Beard semifinalists

In the Triangle, Raleigh’s Boulted Bread is also high on the list at No. 22.

The Boylan Heights bakery moved last year to its current location at 328 Dupont Circle after nine years on nearby South Street. Yelp reviewers love their flaky, buttery croissants as well as their variety of breads.

In addition to Superior Bakery and Boulted Bread, one more North Carolina bakery is also on the list.
