HENDERSON — If there’s one word to describe John Fogg, “prolific” might be it.
Born in Louisburg in 1933, he went on to be a prominent Black business owner and one of a handful to own an Esso service station. Young folk might know it better as Exxon, to which it would later rebrand in 1977. His was on Chestnut Street before moving to its current location at the corner of North Garnett Street and West Andrews Avenue in 1970.
