GARNER, N.C. (WNCN) – After a chase and crash Monday evening , Garner police recovered guns, a stolen car, and marijuana.

“We got what we call a Flock hit, where one of our cameras hit on a stolen vehicle,” said Grner Police Capt. Chris Adams.

Adams said one of their 20 Flock Safety license plate recognition cameras detected the stolen Kia Forte. He said police tried to stop the car but the driver sped off and began a chase that started around Junction Boulevard and Tryon Road.

Officers could be heard on a police scanner describing the car reaching up to 97 mph.
