GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WITN) – The first section of Interstate 42 is officially coming to Eastern Carolina. The North Carolina Department of Transportation has announced its federal approval to re-designate the 20-mile U.S. 70 Goldsboro bypass to Interstate 42. This will require new signs, mile markers, and exit numbers this fall.
