Wake Forest Unveils “Go Wake Forest” Microtransit Service, Offering Free Rides During Pilot Phase

Wake Forest, a town known for its community-focused initiatives, is set to launch a new microtransit service known as “Go Wake Forest” on Tuesday, October 1. The program aims to provide a convenient and accessible transportation option that mimics the ease of use found with popular ridesharing services like Uber and Lyft. According to Wake Forest’s official announcement, residents of the town and those in Raleigh’s Wakefield neighborhood will be able to hail a ride from their doorstep to any destination within the service area using the Go Wake Forest app.
