RALEIGH, N.C. – State lawmakers in Raleigh came together Wednesday afternoon for a special session to unanimously pass a Hurricane Helene relief bill. Emotions ran high as state lawmakers came together to pass the financial aid package, which lawmakers call a “first step” to help counties devastated by Hurricane Helene.
