3 central North Carolina schools make top 100 in WalletHub college ranking

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A new college ranking named three central North Carolina schools among the best 100 in the nation, with two selected as the best in the state.

WalletHub published the ranking on Monday , which placed Duke University as North Carolina’s top-ranked school at #15 overall. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill followed at #41, making it the second-highest and highest public school in the state.

North Carolina State University in Raleigh ranked #81, the fourth-highest among North Carolina’s schools.

In central North Carolina, Meredith College and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary also ranked among the nation’s top 500 colleges at #314 and #350, respectively.

The remaining North Carolina schools to make the ranking’s national top 500 were Davidson College at #70, Queens University of Charlotte at #230, North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro at #412, Elon University at #441, and the University of North Carolina Wilmington at #460.
