Wake Sheriff’s Office responds to drowning emergency at Falls Lake

The Wake County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a drowning on Falls Lake.

At approximately 7:45 a.m. Saturday, emergency communications received a report of a drowning on Falls Lake in the 14000 block of Creedmoor Road.

Firefighters with the Northern Wake Fire Department responded and quickly entered the water to rescue the victim and rendered aid until Wake EMS arrived. The victim has been transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Rangers with North Carolina State Parks also responded to assist.

This is an ongoing investigation, and there is no additional information at this time.
