KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) — A man was shot and later found by law enforcement on the side of Will Baker Road in Kinston Saturday.
The man, Ryan Lee Burd, 39, of Morrisville, is suspected or breaking and entering into a vehicle and being shot by the owner.
Deputies began giving first aid to Burd who was later flown to ECU Health where he was last reported to be in serious condition.
The shooting is under investigation by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office and District Attorney’s Office.
