A North Carolina man was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Thursday for cocaine trafficking and firearms possession. Linwood Davis was sentenced after pleading guilty on December 5, 2024, to multiple charges related to drug distribution and firearm offenses.
Davis of Raleigh pled guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
Court documents revealed that in June 2023, law enforcement identified Davis as a supplier of cocaine in the Raleigh area. Following several controlled purchases involving Davis, a search warrant was executed at his residence on November 3, 2023.
