Raleigh’s beloved First Friday Market and Movie is getting a rare shift this upcoming month, and no one is being left behind. In a unique twist, the event will take place on May 9, instead of its usual slot. As reported by the City of Raleigh, this deviation from tradition isn’t dampening the spirit of the festivities. Moore Square is expected to be buzzing from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a variety of activities and entertainment suitable for all ages.
Stepping out into the evening light, visitors can look forward to an assortment of yard games, a vendor market packed with local crafts and produce, and a symphony of flavors served from food trucks. Adding to the family-friendly atmosphere, kids can engage in themed programming designed to complement the night’s cinematic offering. Presented in partnership with Get 2 Know Raleigh and sponsored by the Downtown Raleigh Alliance, this special event’s centerpiece, a free screening of Disney’s “Tangled,” begins at 7:30 p.m.
