For those with a green thumb getting ready to pamper their gardens, the Raleigh Yard Waste Center is currently offering a special promotion. Running from April 22 through May 10 in recognition of Earth Day and International Compost Awareness Week, the center is providing free organic mulch and leaf mulch. According to an announcement on the City of Raleigh website, this offer is open to everyone—residents and businesses alike.
This might be the perfect opportunity to naturally enrich your soil without having to spend any of your hard-earned cash. During normal business hours, you can come with your truck or trailer and haul away up to 45 cubic yards of mulch per visit — that’s right, no appointment necessary. Just remember to quickly double-check the categories of mulch included in the giveaway, as the city points out that “colored mulch, wood mulch, and organic compost are not included,” as per the City of Raleigh.
Located at 900 N.
