North Carolina man faces up to 15 years for firearm offense

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. — A North Carolina man was convicted of two firearm charges on Tuesday, according to the Department of Justice.

According to court documents, on Mar. 16, 30-year-old Cawajalin McNeil was seen arguing with a woman. When a witness tried to intervene, McNeil pointed a 9mm gun at him. The man backed away, called police and gave them a description of McNeil and a nearly full license plate number of the car he was in.
