New initiatives revealed, butterflies released
“Every day is magical,” said Brendan Medlin, the executive director of the Elizabethan Gardens. “My first day here was the day before ‘snowmageddon’ [Jan. 21, 2025]. We were the only ones in the garden, so we played in the snow in January. And then the camellias started blooming in February, and the azaleas started popping in March and April. Every day, there’s something different in bloom.”
