RALEIGH, N.C. (NEXSTAR) — A fourth wave of Big Lots stores will reopen this week, thanks to a North Carolina-based company bringing back nearly 80 locations in nine states that were previously shuttered as part of the retailer’s bankruptcy filing.
These stores, like the more than 100 others that have already reopened this year, are under new management. As part of a deal reached by Gordon Brothers Retail Partners, Variety Wholesalers acquired some former Big Lots stores that are reopening with the original branding.
