Two men jailed on attempted murder charges in shooting

Two Rocky Mount men were jailed without bond Sunday in the Nash County Detention Center on charges of attempted first-degree murder and assault- and robbery-related charges, police said via email.

Marquise Dickens, 21, and Jaheel Richardson-Spellman, 30, were arrested in connection with a recent shooting in the Little Raleigh area, police said.

Copies of the arrest warrants were not yet posted online Sunday as part of the court records. However, the court records online stated that in addition to the attempted murder charges, Dickens and Richardson-Spellman are charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, robbery with a dangerous weapon, shooting into occupied property and discharging a weapon within the city limits…
