WARRENTON, N.C. (WNCN) — A North Carolina man is celebrating a remarkable accomplishment after a terrible accident. Eddy Matinyit is about to graduate with a master’s degree, three years after a diving accident left him paralyzed.
After living most of his life in Kenya, Matinyit came to the United States to continue his education. He was visiting friends in May of 2022 when they decided to go swimming at a community pool in Raleigh.
