RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Raleigh police have announced that two people were arrested in connection with Wednesday’s shooting at Sheetz on New Bern Avenue.
A spokesperson with the Raleigh Police Department said that officers arrested two men who were behind the shootout, where roughly 50 shots rang out in the parking lot of the gas station. Officers said the shooting occurred around 2 p.m. in the afternoon.

In a news release sent to CBS 17, officers identified 18-year-old Bryson Newkirk and 19-year-old Jahmire Hinton as the two men involved in the shooting.
