Clayton budget includes higher taxes, utility rates and fees

CLAYTON — Property owners and utility customers will pay more in the coming year under the town’s newly adopted 2025-26 budget.

The property tax rate will be 49 cents per $100 of assessed value, a 4-cent increase above the revenue-neutral rate. Utility rates are also going up: water and sewer by a combined 10.2%, and electric by 2%.
