NORFOLK, Va.(WAVY)– A Norfolk resident was awarded a scholarship from a Raleigh law firm.
Zuri Askew, a rising sophomore at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, is the recipient of the Annual Sandi Fuqua Scholarship presented by Whitley Law Firm located in Raleigh, North Carolina. The $2,500 scholarship honors the legacy of Sandi Fuqua, a cherished member of Whitley Law Firm for over 26 years until her passing in 2020 from Gerstmann-Sträussler-Scheinker Disease.
“Sandi poured her heart into her work, her community, and our firm,” said Ben Whitley, Managing Partner of Whitley Law Firm. “Zuri honors her memory by exemplifying the passion, resilience, and dedication to service that Sandi brought to everything she did.”
