A shooting incident on Knightdale Boulevard in Wake County has resulted in serious injuries for one individual last night. CBS17 reports that deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the 6100 block of Knightdale Boulevard near Hodge Road. Upon their arrival at scene, they discovered a victim with a gunshot wound, who was subsequently transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
The Wake County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the incident, yet the motive behind the shooting remains unclear. WRAL notes that the deputies were called around 9:45 p.m. to the location.
