Wake man sentenced for trafficking meth in Spring Hope

RALEIGH — A Wake County man who authorities say entered the United States illegally has been sentenced to more than 10 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to possession of a firearm while trafficking drugs.

Daniel Oswaldo Santos-Soto, 25, was arrested by deputies with the Nash County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 28, 2023 while attempting to sell about 10 ounces of methamphetamine to a confidential source in Spring Hope, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
