The Raleigh Police Department has made an arrest relating to a nightclub shooting incident that took place in late June, which resulted in two women suffering from gunshot wounds. The shooting occurred at Libido Bar and Lounge, located on the 3100 block of Calvary Drive. According to CBS17, the first woman was found outside the club, while the second victim was discovered a mile away at the intersection of Spring Forest Road and Capital Boulevard.
Detained by detectives at around 9 a.m. on Saturday in Knightdale, 18-year-old Maliq Xavier Royal is facing multiple charges, including assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, and discharge of a firearm into occupied property. ABC11 reports that the investigation by the local police is still active and ongoing.
Both of the injured women’s conditions were deemed non-life-threatening.
