Employee loses job after pulling out gun in fight at North Carolina restaurant

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A day after police say an employee pulled a gun at a local restaurant, sending customers into a panic, people in the area are still shaken up.

Tupelo Honey, a popular restaurant in Raleigh, turned into a chaotic scene late Sunday morning. “I was in sheer panic. I didn’t know it was going on,” David Marney recalled.

Marney was just opening up the AT&T store next door when he saw a crowd rushing down Oberlin Road, some people crying and screaming.

“I see just a bunch of people running down the street chaos ensuing; the door’s closed and there was a bunch of people trying to get in as well, and in sheer panic I just unlocked the door and ran with them,” he explained. “As we were running on the street, I was trying to askpeople around  me, ‘What is going on? What is everybody running from?’”…
