On July 5, 2024, Engine 4 arrived to Harbor Drive in North Raleigh and found heavy fire showing from the rear of a two-story, single-family dwelling. Both the structure and a boat parked behind the house were burning. Fire was soon showing through the roof, having extended through the attic. Crews attacked the blaze with both exterior and interior lines. It was controlled in about 45 minutes. One cat was rescued and treated. One firefighter suffered a sprained ankle, and a second alarm was requested when the injured firefighter was first reported. The second-alarm companies were subsequently cancelled.
