A favorite Raleigh restaurant will open a new concept in a familiar spot

After more than a decade, one of Raleigh’s favorite restaurants is expanding.

Next year, the owners of Stanbury will open a new restaurant in the former Escazu space next door to their longtime home at 938 N. Blount Street.

Opened in 2013, Stanbury is owned by brothers Joseph and Will Jeffers and chef Drew Maykuth. Over the last decade, it has grown into one of Raleigh’s most popular restaurants and a fixture in the Mordecai neighborhood.
