The Wake County Animal Center has reached maximum capacity and is waiving all adoption fees through the end of August as part of its “Clear the Shelter” campaign.
According to the Wake County website, adoption fees, normally between $15 and $95, are being waived for all pets. The shelter currently houses 16 puppies, 240 dogs, 220 kittens, and 87 cats. Residents are encouraged to adopt, foster, donate supplies, or share information to help reduce overcrowding…
