RALEIGH, N.C. — When Jeff Lineberry learned his daughter Hanna would be born with Down syndrome, his family’s world shifted. In the middle of uncertainty, the North Carolina Down Syndrome Alliance stepped in, offering support and hope at a time his family needed it most.
One of the N.C. Down Syndrome Alliance’s most meaningful programs is Camp Shine, a two-week summer camp designed for children with Down syndrome and their siblings. The name stands for Showing How Inclusion is Needed Everywhere, and that spirit was on full display this summer.
