Raleigh Woman Ejected From Vehicle in Deadly Early Morning Collision

Raleigh, NC – A tragic early morning crash in Raleigh claimed the life of a young woman Sunday, shutting down a busy intersection near the popular North Hills shopping area.

Fatal Crash Details

Raleigh police responded to the intersection of Six Forks Road and Lassiter Mill Road around 2:45 a.m. Officers found a white pickup truck with frontal damage and a Dodge Journey involved in the collision.

Investigators identified the victim as 22-year-old Nazirah Eason, who was ejected from the Dodge onto the lanes of Six Forks Road. Emergency responders pronounced her dead at the scene.

Officials said Eason failed to stop at a red light and collided with the pickup truck. Additionally, authorities confirmed she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash as per WRAL.

Intersection Reopened

The accident temporarily closed the intersection, disrupting traffic near North Hills. By 12:30 p.m., police reported that the road had been cleared and reopened to traffic.

No Charges Filed

Raleigh police stated that no charges will be filed in connection with the crash. Officials have not confirmed whether anyone else sustained injuries in the incident.
