The Dance, Kid, Dance Tour lit up Raleigh with an unforgettable night of rock royalty at the Lenovo Center!
The Dance, Kid, Dance Tour made a thunderous stop at the Lenovo Center. Featuring powerhouse performances from Shinedown, Bush, and Morgan Wade. The evening kicked off with Wade’s raw, soulful set, warming up the crowd with her signature blend of Americana and rock.
Bush brought raw intensity and timeless swagger to the Lenovo Center stage, proving why they remain legends of alternative rock.
With Gavin Rossdale at the helm, the band tore through a set that fused gritty nostalgia with modern edge. As the sun dipped below the Raleigh skyline, Bush took the stage, delivering a nostalgic yet electrifying performance that spanned their greatest hits.
Tracks like —from “Glycerine” to “Swallowed” and “Machinehead” — while newer cuts from their retrospective album Loaded: The Greatest Hits 1994–2023 showcased Bush’s evolution without losing their signature sound.
Rossdale’s electrifying stage presence—leaping into the crowd, shredding with abandon—turned the performance into a visceral experience. For longtime fans and newcomers alike, Bush’s set was a masterclass in rock revival, reminding everyone that some icons never fade—they just get louder.
Gavin Rossdale proved once again why Bush remains one of the most magnetic live acts in rock history.
Shinedown’s headlining set was nothing short of explosive. Ending the night with a magnanimous performance and even gave us a dip into samples of DeepTracks (from tour that was cancelled due to covid.) The stage design and second stage really give fans an opportunity to see them up close & personal.
As well we were treated to it being the acoustic stage a nice twist to most tours. Not lost on the fans because they were thoroughly engaged and this tour is one of the ones you know you are going to actually connect with the artist even in such a large setting.
With a setlist that included “Devour,” “Cut the Cord,” and their latest anthem “Dance, Kid, Dance,” the band fused high-octane visuals with emotionally resonant lyrics couldn’t help but touch each attendee. Their performance at Lenovo Center was part of the tour’s summer leg, which followed a successful spring run with Beartooth. The band’s new single “Dance, Kid, Dance” has become a rallying cry for fans, and its official video— adds depth to the song’s message of resilience and self-expression. Shinedown ended the night with a magnanimous performance and even gave us a dip into samples of DeepTracks (from tour that was cancelled due to covid.)
The Lenovo Center show was a highlight of the tour, not just for its musical intensity by the band but for its heartfelt mission. Shinedown partnered with Musicians On Call, donating $1 from every ticket sold to bring live music to hospital patients and caregivers.
This philanthropic spirit was echoed in Shinedown Interview: Drummer Barry Kerch talks New Music …, where Kerch discussed the band’s evolving sound and their commitment to making a difference through music. The Raleigh crowd responded in kind, creating an electric atmosphere that was both communal and cathartic.
The symbiotic moment of the music community was the heartfelt dedication to Mastadon’s co-founder and lead guitarist Brent Hinds who died in a motorcycle crash on August 20th. RIP to a legend and someone who shaped rock.
Fans who attended shared their experiences widely, with clips all over TikTok, Youtube, and Instagram … offering a glimpse into the tour’s broader impact. The Dance, Kid, Dance Tour has proven to be more than just a concert series—it’s a celebration of connection, nostalgia, and the enduring power of rock. With Bush and Shinedown at the helm, the Lenovo Center show was a night to remember, leaving fans buzzing long after the final chord rang out.
