RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The man accused of crashing into a Raleigh police officer with a stolen vehicle earlier this month is facing new charges, a warrant shows.
According to the Raleigh Police Department, officers were investigating vehicle break-ins on Aug. 16 around 3:30 a.m. on Thistlebrook Court when they identified the suspect. The suspect fled the scene in a stolen vehicle, striking a police cruiser while driving off.
Elmer Bautista-Candela, 21, of Raleigh, was identified as the suspect in the incident. He was arrested on Aug. 20 following a high-speed chase and standoff, according to Raleigh police…
