Cary Police Apprehend Three Juveniles Following Vehicle Break-Ins and Chase as Investigations Continue

Yesterday morning in Cary, law enforcement officers took three juveniles into custody after a series of vehicle break-ins and a subsequent police chase unfolded. According to CBS 17, authorities were called to the 3900 block of Ansley Stream Lane around 2:45 a.m. for reports of five vehicles having been broken into. Police later intercepted two stolen Kia-model vehicles associated with the suspects.

As detailed by ABC11, the incident escalated when the two Kias fled, leading officers on a chase that ended in Apex. One of the vehicles crashed into a Honda SUV near Salem Street and Apex Peakway with two suspects arrested at the scene. One juvenile was hospitalized with minor injuries, and the SUV’s driver was reported uninjured. Investigations continue as the juveniles are connected to this spree of larceny and vehicular theft.

WRAL has highlighted a significant concern over the recent uptick in juvenile-related car break-ins, with a Raleigh teen allegedly behind over 100 incidents.
