A 62-year-old man reportedly died this week after he attempted to drive around lowered crossing arms and was hit by a cargo train in North Carolina.
Dwayne Alton Bryant was driving a Toyota Corolla in his hometown of Clayton on Monday, Aug. 25, around 10:50 a.m. local time when he made a left turn onto Central Street and tried to go around the gates at the railroad crossing, according to NBC affiliate WRAL, ABC affiliate WTVD and The News & Observer.
