RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The 16th Annual African American Cultural Festival (AACF) of Raleigh and Wake County is happening this Labor Day holiday weekend.
The event — celebrating the past, present, and future — serves up an array of local and national talent in visual, performance, and culinary arts to delight and inspire a projected 50,000 visitors this year with African American food for the soul and feasts for the eyes and ears.
“Our theme is the ‘Heritage Heartbeat, 16 years of rhythm’,” Annual African American Cultural Festival organizer Pam Smith said. “16, because when you come out here, there’s all kinds of rhythm. It’s not just in the drums, it’s in the food, it’s in the celebration.”…
