Family of 3 lose North Carolina home to fire that left 1 person injured, officials say

GARNER, N.C. (WNCN) — Fire officials are currently investigating what started a fire at a home Saturday morning in Garner that left one person injured and a family without their home.

According to the Garner Fire & Rescue Department, crews responded to the call of the fire around 6:25 a.m. on the 200 block of Plaza Drive.

The first responding units said they saw flames shooting through the roof upon arrival. According to a spokesperson of the fire department, it took 30 firefighters from Garner and mutual aid units nearby to knock down the blaze.
