Knightdale Police responded Friday to Knightdale High School following a reported altercation.
As a student walkout concluded at the school, located at 100 Bryan Chalk Lane, a fight broke out between two juvenile students in the cafeteria. During the incident, a school staff member sustained a laceration to the forearm while attempting to intervene and de-escalate the situation. The staff member received medical treatment, and the injury is considered non-life-threatening, according to police.
