RALEIGH, N.C. – A federal judge has sentenced Wilbert Lee Howard III, 42, of Raleigh, to 16 years in federal prison for leading a large-scale cocaine trafficking ring in the Triangle region. Howard, who had multiple prior convictions, pleaded guilty in June 2025 and was sentenced last week.
