GARNER, N.C. (WNCN) — A longtime member of the Garner Police Department with nearly three decades worth of experience is moving up to the top of the ladder as the town’s new police chief.
Chris Adams, a 26-year veteran with Garner police, as well as a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, earned the permanent title of the department’s chief of police, the town announced in a news release on Wednesday. He had been serving on an interim basis since former police chief Lorie Smith retired back in late April.
