Teen seriously hurt after falling through roof of North Carolina school, officials say

FRANKLINTON, N.C. (WNCN) — A teenager was seriously hurt after falling through the roof of a Franklin County elementary school Friday afternoon, officials said.

According to Franklin County Emergency Management, a 15-year-boy fell 20 feet through a skylight window above the cafeteria at Franklinton Elementary School just after 5 p.m.

The incident happened after school hours. No students were on campus because of a teacher workday that took place that day, according to Franklin County Schools.
