DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – Two people face charges related to fraud in connection with a Durham-based foundation, police said on Wednesday.
According to the Durham Police Department, officers issued warrants for Nicholas Gallardo and Courtney Jordan, who are charged with obtaining property by false pretenses and felony conspiracy. Police said these charges are tied to fraudulent activity related to the Courtney Jordan Foundation.
“Gallardo and Jordan’s charges stem from a complaint related to receiving a large amount in cash in documented payments for what was described as an investment fund,” the Durham Police Department said in a Wednesday news release…
