Woman accused of assaulting Wake deputy with fentanyl. Experts aren’t buying it.

The Wake County Sheriff’s Office charged a Harnett County woman with felony assault on a police officer Oct. 1 after she allegedly threw a dollar bill with fentanyl in the face of a deputy sheriff during a traffic stop.

Experts are skeptical of the validity of that charge.
