North Carolina Man Arrested for Assaulting Hospital Workers, Allegedly Exposing Them to HIV

A North Carolina man was arrested and is facing two felony charges after he allegedly assaulted two emergency personnel and exposed them to HIV.

Kameron Gilchrist was charged with two counts of assault or affray causing physical injury to emergency room personnel, according to a copy of his arrest warrant viewed by People.

If Gilchrist, 25, is convicted of the Class H felony, he could face up to 39 months in prison for each count. Class H felonies “are the second-to-the-lowest in the class ranking,” according to Sparrow Law Firm. “This is a low level felony, and may not carry mandatory jail time. Property-related crimes such as felony larceny, embezzlement and obtaining property via false pretenses can be considered low-level felonies.”…
