GoTriangle’s new RUS Bus station in the Warehouse District just got a major glow-up—and it’s shining a bright light on Raleigh’s public transit system (literally).
Like a small-scale Shimmer Wall, the facility’s recently unveiled art installation features a large steel acorn sculpture aglow with alternating colorful lights. Crafted from laser-cut, welded and buffed stainless steel sheets, the sculpture clocks in at ~7 feet and tips the scales at nearly 900 pounds. And not to be overlooked is the intricate leaf/acorn design engraved within the metal providing fall feels and a further ode to the City of Oaks.
