RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — A Durham man was arrested on I-40 East Sunday night after deputies and state troopers detained him for an outstanding assault warrant and found cocaine in his possession, according to the Davie County Sheriff’s Office.
At approximately 10:22 p.m. on Oct. 19, Davie County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to assist North Carolina State Highway Patrol at Mile Marker 167, where troopers were dealing with a confrontation between a trooper and a vehicle passenger on I-40.
The passenger, later identified as 32-year-old Dominique Gallant Diaz of the 500 block of North Maple Street, Durham, was taken into custody for an active simple assault warrant from Orange County…
