A high-speed chase on Interstate 40 in Wake County led to a two-car collision near Lake Wheeler Road, the Wake County Sheriff’s Office reported. The suspect, driving at a reckless pace was observed by deputies east of Gorman Street on Thursday afternoon. Despite efforts to halt the vehicle, the driver, later identified as 30-year-old Jaquan Lanautis Page, refused to stop, prompting a chase that ended when Page’s vehicle struck another on Lake Wheeler Road, CBS17 reported.
According to The Wake Weekly, Page was taken to the hospital with minor injuries as a result of the crash. Fortunately, no one else sustained injuries in the incident.
