RALEIGH — Some North Carolina State Fair visitors went home this year with more than just memories.
NCCash.gov operated a booth throughout the event in the Kerr Scott Building, offering attendees the chance to check for unclaimed property. By the time the final fireworks ended Sunday night, 488 fairgoers had discovered a total of $185,796 in unclaimed funds.
